Schickeria
When Munich was still sexy
Munich has not always been the beautiful but somewhat boring capital of Bavaria, too clean for its own good, inhabited by the rich and famous. There was a time when the city was loud, rebellious, wickedly mondane. A place full of creative visionaries, an international place to be for movers and shakers, for noncormists, popstars and it-girls. A sheer magnet for all who were looking for an excentric, outrageous and over-the-top crazy kind of lifestyle.
Starting in the middle of the wild 60ies and ending with the infamous birthday bash of „Queen“-legend Freddy Mercury in Munich’s renowned Travesty club „Henderson“ in 1985. The party was filmed and ended up becoming the video for the smash hit „Living On My Own“. In for episides we travel through the shrill Munich which was then namend „Germany’s secret capital“.
Together with German acting legend Iris Berben, TV presenter Thomas Gottschalk and celebrity journalist Michael Graeter – all three have been closely connected to Munich for the past 50 years – the audience receives great and exclusive insights as well as tons of spicy, candid and even explosive insider stories. Many of which have never been heard of.
